"Steppin' Up was one of the highlights of my third grade students' year. They trained for the race as a class, and were excited to complete the race together, while supporting a worthy cause. As a teacher, it was gratifying to see my class so excited about supporting our community, and supporting each other as they walked and ran the course. I hope to compete with my class again this year."
Eileen Feleen, Teacher, Maple Avenue School
"Steppin’ Up is my favorite event, I love my team, my community, and TPN."

Information for Teams
Why are teams so important to Steppin' Up?
Did you know teams raise over 65% of all the money collected for Steppin' Up to End Violence? Each year, our event has grown, thanks in large part to TEAMS! As individuals come and experience the fun and meaning of Steppin’ Up, they are inspired to come back and bring some friends! New teams form, returning teams strengthen, and participation increases. In fact, in 2017, 94 teams raised an amazing $75,000.
Teams set the tone of fun! Some teams have personalized t-shirts, kazoos, dogs and strollers to bring an inspiring energy to the event. Teams are invited to have team photos taken by our event photographer. Walking for a good cause feels good, but walking with friends and colleagues for a good cause feels even better.
Congratulations to the Sullivan County Health Care Squeakee Sneakers for winning
recognition from the state for their fundraising efforts!
"My co-workers and I have fun raising money
for such an important cause."
Teams can be any size!
It is the heart and the spirit and not the size that makes our teams stand out. Invite a few friends to join you; ask your co-workers to join an office team; encourage your child’s school to create a team of students, parents and teachers; ask your faith community if their mission or outreach committee can support this event; or have a combined family and friends team. We want to make the process of leading a team as easy and fun as we can.
We are here to help!
Does your business or company have departments or branches? Challenge each other to see who can recruit the most team members or raise the most money. Consider taking your fundraising to the next level by challenging another business to see who can win bragging rights as top fundraiser.
